Personal Maps

I ran team sessions where each person shared their story through a 'personal map.' Getting to know each other this way brought us closer, improved communication and made our collaboration more creative.

Moving Motivators

Moving Motivators is an exercise meant to help us reflect on motivation and how it affects organizational change.

The Moving Motivators exercise is based on ten motivators, which Jurgen Appelo derived from the works of Daniel Pink, Steven Reiss, and Edward Deci.

Through the Moving Motivators exercise, I sparked meaningful conversations about individual motivations and their association with positive and negative work experiences. This enabled me to create graphical representations that gave insight into each team member's positioning, as well as potential stressors.

Diversity and Inclusion (Lunch & Learn)

As a DEIB Council member since its inception, I gave a company-wide talk on what it's like to work as an immigrant and English-language learner. The impact was significant, with a flood of positive feedback from employees who felt seen and heard. My talk has now become a cornerstone of the onboarding process for all new hires, driving meaningful change and creating a more inclusive workplace. I am proud to be making a tangible difference in the world, one step at a time.

Career Map Exercise

As a mentor to aspiring designers, a key part of my role is to help them unlock their full potential. I do this by uncovering their personal story, exploring their past experiences and achievements, and discovering what truly drives them. Using a highly effective template from the design community, I guide my mentees through a reflective exercise to map their career journey and identify their areas of excitement and passion. The outcome is a deeper understanding of their strengths, which empowers them to make a bigger impact in their careers and design work.

Sharing New Methods

As a mentor to other designers, I aim to empower and elevate their design process and skills. To achieve this,I bring what I learn at courses and conferences back to the team. Most recently, that meant hands-on workshops on AI-assisted prototyping with Claude Code and Cursor and elevating the overall design capabilities within the company.
